Mr. Demers advises corporations on business operations, commercial transactions, debt and equity capital raising, shareholder and governance matters, mergers and acquisitions, et al. In his private practice, he has acted on transactions valued between 7 and 8 figures, and represented clients in retail, real property, insurance, manufacturing and technology industries.
William works under the mentorship of senior counsel and maintains good relations with other private practitioners and lawyers at established firms, drawing upon their support as appropriate.
Prior to private practice, Mr. Demers was trained as a lawyer at a leading global business law firm, where he worked on disputes in the oil and gas, transportation and water use infrastructure sectors (damages or disputed amounts ranging from 8 to 10 figures).
